zpLibrary: Java Scientific Resource

Download zpLibrary. Size: 100k - version 10 / 1998. Documentation is included. Mirror site: zpLibrary (zpClasses are the source code), Documentation, my complete java works with Source Code (only for academic use, need permission for commercial use & redistribution)!

Features:

• Math: linear fit data and fractal generators (including Weierstrass function). Calculate fractal dimension of lines. DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform). Chaotical functions: Quadratic, Tent Map, Cubic, cSin, cCos. You need to download the great ptplot library in order to run my demonstration software for these functions. PTPLOT is the most complete 2-D plotter for scientists.
• Stream: "General I/O Stream" for scientific purposes (data analisys), which handles file and Data streams as well. You can also mark() the ram output stream, and reset input streams!
• Sound: with "General Stream" suport, concrete AIFF sound streams.
• Utilities: array to int, int to array, "Notification" class which does not work with MRJ 2.0!!! (from "Java Developers' Guide").

"zpLibrary" is a collection of some java classes which I wrote for my own purpose. Use it as is, with NO warrities. Updates are documented as I have time. Suggestions are always welcome (please, send them with source code). Send improvements, comments and bug reports to [email protected] . Please tell me whether you know similar works in Java.

Software para Macintosh

Estes foram programas desenvolvidos somente para Macintosh usando CodeWarrior até 1998. Como era um pobre estudante, tinha que aguentar meu bom e velho Mac LCIII de 25Mhz em casa.

• SoundCompacter2.3.1 (219 Kbytes) - Rapidamente comprime e expande arquivos sonoros AIFF em um formato especial de extensão ".zsnd". O arquivo comprimido é cerca de 4 a 10 vezes menor que o original, sem perder muito em qualidade! Por mais incrível que pareça, quanto melhor for a gravação, maior é o índice de compressão e melhor o resultado final! Novo (v2.3): finalmente suporta vários canais de som. (Abril / 98). Versão 2.4 apenas para usuários registrados.
• AIFF to TEXT Converter1.2 (196 Kbytes) - Transcreve a onda sonora de um arquivo AIFF num arquivo texto (tabela com o formato tempo X amplitude). Fiz especialmente para a UFMG, para podermos usar os dados de saída em programas próprios de análise Fourier. Também serve para se ter uma idéia numérica da amplitude da onda. Inclui código-fonte (CWProf.1). Agosto / 97 (este update corrige pequenos bugs e melhora o código-fonte).
• SimpleLogger (8 Kbytes) - Para usar junto com servidor de Finger, como o "Fingerd". SimpleLogger registra o horário em que o computador foi ligado, no arquivo "Last Log" dentro da pasta Preferences. Basta colocar o programa na pasta de Startup e configurar finger para localizar o arquivo "Last Log". Não utilizo de interface gráfica, pois o programa somente faz o registro e termina. (Abril / 97).
